WARDROBE

When picking your wardrobe for your models make sure it doesn’t take away from the hair. If your wardrobe is flashier than the main focus which is the hair it really hurts the shot. Simple is the way to go if you’re just building your portfolio. Unless you have experience shooting on a regular basis you may also consider not picking any shirts/tops that cover the necks or the collarbone. Also mind your amount of jewelry being used, that can also add another level of distraction.

MAKE-UP

For an efficient shoot we ask that your model’s makeup either be done or pre-prepped before the shoot. If you need recommendations for make-up artist in this area we will provide a directory so you can decide who you would like to book for your model(s). You can also look for MUA and Wardrobe Stylist who would like to collaborate for trade ( credits & pictures in return ).

Suggestions:

Seek a MUA who matches your style. For stellar shots the make-up should compliment the hair as well as the wardrobe . Look for a MUA who has either the experience of working on set, has been published before, and/or has en extensive portfolio of prior work.
