As you know, the next Quai 54 will be held this weekend on the lawn of Reuilly and it is an opportunity for the two founders to come back on the advent of their project in a long interview.
Hammadoun Sidibé and Thibault de Longeville, the two founders of the event, tell us how they came to create a streetball tournament after discovering a brand new land in Levallois in 2003. The two companions gathered several teams Friends thanks to word-of-mouth while music and barbecue were organized around the encounters. The tournament was immediately transformed into a real block party bringing together nearly 1500 people, in the line of the meetings EBC of New York having inspired the two men. The tournament never ceased to grow thanks to the support of Nike and Jordan Brand who knew how to measure the great potential of these meetings from their first editions.
